2X Auxiliary Objective for use with XTL Stereo Zoom Microscopes Working Distance 25mm

The 2X Auxiliary Objective is an optional accessory for use with XTL Stereo Zoom Microscopes, it easily screws onto the 'nose' end of the microscope to provide extra magnification. This objective provides a  Working Distance of 25mm and doubles the magnification range of the microscope from (with 10X eyepieces) 7X-45X to 14X-90X. The working distance before attachment of the objective is 88mm. So it should be considered that any illumination on the stand or any ringlight attached to the microscope will be much less effective at this increased magnification, alternative side illumination may well be necessary such as out GXM L1 Fibre Optic Lamphouse with our GXM L3 Dual Gooseneck Fibre Optic Light Guides. The illumination and the fact that one quarter of the light (cf no objective) must be taken into account when using a camera with this objective, illumination, if not from beneath, will be very important, as with all microscopes at this magnification.
