The grapes are coming from old vines over calcareous soils. The Xarel-lo Vermell variety is a “gris” mutation of the white grape, so the skins are darker – gray/rose – and contain more tannins, flavonoids and polyphenols, which gives a certain structure to the macerated wine. This wine is of prominent amber colour, pretty transparent, with a mineral and polite dried fruit aromatics, medium body, good acidity and moderate pleasant tannins. 1 month on skins, 2017-2019. Aged 1-3 years in chestnut barrels, bottled in 2020.
